Bike trails abound in the GPS region. The Sunrise Prairie/Hardwood Creek Trail is a 26 mile path through Chisago County, while the Willard Munger State Trail runs 63 paved miles from Hinckley to Duluth. The Matthew Lourey State Trail winds 80 miles along the banks of the St. Croix River in Pine County and heads north through the Nemadji State Forest. Planning is under way for the James Oberstar State Trail, which will connect the Munger Trail's southern terminus in Hinckley to Chisago County.

As a PGA Golf Professional, I have had the opportunity to play most of the golf courses in Minnesota, and this region has some of the best courses from which to choose.
